1月15日消息，据金融时报报道，联合国DUpin和犯罪办公室在周一发布的报告中警告称，全球最大的加密货币平台之一Tether已成为东南亚洗钱者和诈骗者的主要支付方式之一。报告指出，Tether的稳定币是一个爆炸性骗局行业的核心，其中包括“杀猪盘”骗局。加密货币的演变，以及其他快速的技术发展，也刺激了东南亚有组织犯罪团伙使用黑市赌场洗钱这种已有数十年历史的做法。在线DB平台，特别是那些非法经营的DB平台，已经成为基于加密货币的洗钱者最受欢迎的工具之一，特别是对于那些使用Tether的人来说。 联合国DUpin和犯罪问题办公室的Jeremy Douglas表示：“有组织犯罪有效地利用新技术创建了一个平行的银行系统，而宽松或完全不受监管的在线赌场以及加密货币的激增，加剧了该地区的犯罪生态系统。”联合国报告指出，近年来，当局捣毁了多个负责转移非法Tether资金的洗钱网络，其中包括去年8月新加坡当局追回7.37亿美元现金和加密货币的行动。报告称，去年11月，在与美国当局和加密交易所OKX联合调查后，Tether冻结了与东南亚“杀猪”和人口贩卖集团有关的价值2.25亿美元的代币。Douglas表示：“加密货币监管远远落后于非法活动或几乎不存在，利用漏洞和弱点并从中获利的有组织犯罪集团知道这一点。” 报道称，尽管美国和其他地方对数字资产进行了广泛的执法打击，但犯罪集团仍然继续将Tether的代币作为转移资金的有效方法，以至于一些赌场已经开始专门处理该代币。 金融时报看到的文件显示，在缅甸掸邦(Shan State)也在柬埔寨开展业务的一个洗钱集团，甚至在一条繁忙的街道上悬挂了一个标语，宣传Tether，并承诺将“黑资”代币兑换成现金。
