林梧桐，人称“游乐赌王”，1918年生。19岁前往马来西亚，云顶高原有限公司的创办人。1979年，为了表彰林梧桐对马来西亚国家经济所作出的贡献，国王封赐他为爵士。2007年逝世，享年90岁。父亲林石泉，母亲吴万都。

林梧桐于1918年出生在福建安溪，并在那里长大成人。19岁时，他筹了点路费，漂洋过海到达马来西亚的吉隆坡，投靠做木匠的叔父当一名学徒。后来改做小贩，逐步由两手空空而积蓄了一点资金，他省吃俭用以筹措资本，决心要闯一番事业。
4 K3 i& E. Y$ w+ _3 E% ?靠“毅力、勤奋和诚实”的经营要诀，他投以几百万美元的资金，将人迹罕至的高山建成著名的云顶游乐园，每年吸引100多万世界各地旅游者，乐园价值已高达近6亿美元；他的挂牌胶园公司“亚地发展”，是一片拥有3.3万公顷橡胶树、棕榈树、可可树的马来西亚十大挂牌种植公司之一；他还在澳大利亚、巴哈马群岛等地买下娱乐场或旅游区，发展成国际性的旅游王国。

马来西亚执政联盟国民阵线的天策执政伙伴、马华公会总会长黄家定赞扬林梧桐生前对马来西亚经济和旅游业作出的贡献。黄家定说：“将荒山野岭开发成为旅游胜地，同时创造了许多就业机会，人们将永远缅怀他的功绩。他指出，林梧桐是大企业家，走过的路和贡献值得马国人民，尤其是华族引以为荣。他也感谢林梧桐对慈善和教育所作的重大贡献。

华团也对林梧桐去世深表惋惜。马国林氏宗亲总会会长林顺平表示，林梧桐对社会和国家贡献良多，宗亲会将举办表扬会，以表追思。
